Advertisers may notice that the Manage Publishers page (Publishers Manage Publishers) defaults to a transparency rating of three. Transparency provides advertisers with a relative gauge of publisher disclosure of important information, including reliable contact information, promotional methods, website(s), and marketing potential. In order to ensure advertisers are presented with quality publishers in their search results, transparency is defaulted to level three.
Note that the defaulted transparency score can impact the visibility of publishers already joined to the program when completing a search. Advertisers should ensure that the transparency rating filter is updated to “All” when searching for already joined publishers, as to avoid erroneously filtering publishers from search results.
