Adding Triggers:
Advertisers are responsible for configuring their site’s pages and how the tags will be implemented on their site’s pages. Advertisers can do this by visiting the Sources tab, and selecting the Add button, where they will be instructed to select the type of page or event that will need to be added. Using common URL patterns and wildcarding via asterisks (**), client’s can identify groupings of pages; examples including All Pages, Product or Category Pages, or Confirmation Pages only. The Pepperjam Container Tag should use an All Pages trigger and the Dynamic Tracking pixel should use a Confirmation Pages trigger (or Thank You Page Trigger)
Additionally, in order to pass dynamic variables from the client’s site back to the desired vendors, clients are responsible for configuring and building their Data Elements and conditional Events. Clients can do this by visiting the Data tab, and then selecting either Add Data Element or Add Event. From here, clients will be directed to name and configure the desired data element or event to be passed using either Jquery or Javascript. (Signal’s Client Services members are available to assist in any configuration inquiries from the clients when building the desired data element or event.) Once configured, the data elements and events can be assigned to the appropriate pages, and then selected when configuring the desired vendor tag for passing the dynamic values.
