Newsletter feature Overview

Communication is key to a successful affiliate program. Direct communication with publishers should be complimented with newsletters sent from your advertiser dashboard to announce website updates, new products, promotions or as a reminder of your incentive for publishers to promote your brand. We recommend sending a newsletter weekly, bi-weekly or, at minimum, monthly to keep your brand and relevant content top-of-mind for publishers.


While plain text newsletters still convey your message, HTML newsletters are more aesthetically appealing and user-friendly for publishers to easily access the content you’re sharing. If you need help creating a template, please reach out to your account team. 


How do I create a new newsletter template?

Access the newsletter portion of our platform by following these steps:

  1. Click “Publishers” on the left-hand navigation
  2. Select “Newsletters” from the menu
  3. Once in the newsletter screen, click “Create Newsletter”, which will take you to the edit newsletter page.



How do I craft a newsletter within my template?

  • Once you have your HTML template (reminder: you can ask your account team for assistance in building HTML if you need help), click on the source code icon (<>).<></></>
  • Copy and paste your HTML in the body of the source code field.
  • Once the HTML is added, click “ok”. Your HTML coded newsletter will appear in the body of the newsletter section.



How do I edit my newsletter content within my template?

Edit your text using the icons at the top of the body section:

  • Text editing: Bold, Italicize, underline and strikethrough
  • Alignment: Right, Middle and Left
  • Add Bullets and Numbering
  • Edit Font Size
  • Create links or remove links
  • Change text colors


How do I personalize the newsletter and add specific creative?

The “tag” feature allows you to:

  1. Include specific creative in the newsletter which the publishers can pull directly from your newsletter content. This is especially valuable for including your preferred creative, new content or specific creative that align with your newsletter topic.
  2. Add a publisher first name, automatically generating the appropriate greeting for each individual recipient.


How do I save my newsletter?

To save your newsletter, select one of the save options:

  • Draft allows you to save your in-progress newsletter to continue working on later
  • Queue for sending triggers the platform to process your newsletter immediately, sending it to all selected recipients
  • Schedule for sending allows you to choose a specific date and time for deployment. You can create and schedule multiple newsletters ahead of time for scheduled deployment. Scheduled newsletters can still be edited prior to the time they are set for sending.

Are there options to send to different publishers within my program?

You have the option of sending newsletters to all of your publisher partners or segment based on different qualifications.  These include:

  • All Publishers
  • Joined Before Date
  • Joined After Date
  • Add Publisher
  • Group
  • Program Term
  • Promotional Method
